Great meal. Ordered pulled pork plate with potatoes and slaw. All were very good. Wait staff were quick and kept my glass of tea filled. I'm glad I used Yelp to find a place to eat tonight.

We were looking for something different and had a taste for bbq. We looked at Yelp and saw a place named Dixies and decided to give it a try since we saw it on Yelp. We ordered the super platter since it was our first visit. The staff is very warm and friendly. We also ordered extra sides. Everything was very tender. There was a variety of sauces. The food was more then plentiful for the two of us. It was so good that we ordered extra to take home. This is the best bbq in the Tri Cities Tennessee area. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Nice little place and we would come back! BBQ is pulled versus finely chopped. I don't think it was smoked. Clean, good, BBQ. Sauces were good: house sauce was dark and sweet, red is hot but has good flavor, and there was a slightly dark vinegar based with a slight bite/hot (mild) to it (which was my favorite). One nice surprise was the fried potatoes (little squares) and onions. Very good and not something I would have ordered. Our waitress talked us into it and it was excellent!! Downsides? No hushpuppies (not a big deal) and the sweet tea came in a huge American sized cup (super sized). All 3 of us enjoyed the food and we would return!

Gotta love this place. One of the BEST BBQ joints in Eastern Tennessee. They smoke all their own meat and make their own sauces. Bbq beans are awesome and the bbq nachos.....gross looking but mouth watering.

Had the BBQ nachos. They were good, don't get me wrong, but nothing was particularly outstanding, from the chips to the beans to the BBQ. Prices were reasonable though. Probably won't be back; I like other BBQ spots better. If you go try the Alabama White sauce, it was surprisingly good.

Aaaahhhhhh, 5 years later, still in a food coma. Unfortunate thing about this place, the sauce I bought after my meal has finally gone bad, and I have to freakin travel all the way to the middle of nowhere Johnson City, TN to get more! The food was delicious, cornbread, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, mac n cheese, and any type of sauce you could think of, not to mention some good 'ol southern sweet tea. I should take a star off for all the confederacy paraphernalia, but, it's south of the Mason Dixon Line, I can't expect everyone to be as perfect as the food they cook (if I were that guy, I wouldn't have any friends from Boston). So, if you ever find yourself driving through Eastern Tennessee on 81 (hopefully headed down to NOLA), take a quick detour to Johnson City and stop by Dixie Barbecue Co. and put some South n your Mouth.

My family came up from Orlando and heard about this place through Yelp and decided to try it out. We were sooo happy we did. We all got something different and everyone left full and happy!! The food was delicious and they had HUGE portions. There were a bunch of different sauces to choose from and they were all good. The white sauce and the sweet sauce were our personal favorites. The waiter was very nice and took his time to go over all the different ones they had. My favorite thing was their baked beans!!! They were a little sweet a little spicy, but just PERFECT. My mom couldnt get over how delicious there Fried Potatoes and onions were. On our way back to the nearby airport we planned on stopping one last time, unfortunately they are closed on Sunday's. If u can, STOP HERE FOR BBQ!! It was a great experience, Oh, and the sweet tea was great too!!

Good barbecue is hard to find in eastern Tennessee. I was very surprised by that when we moved here. This place is an exception to the rule and is very good! They have several barbecue sauces and all are different and unique. Try the "white" and the vinegar based sauces. I'd eat here just for the white barbecue sauce but there are lots of good reasons to eat here! Real good place to have some great barbecue.
